Why is it that when I call someone on their bullshit, I'M the jerk for not tolerating their BS? Their BS isn't ever really the issue, it's always my reaction to it that's the problem.

God, I hate people sometimes.

Yeah, I'm a big believer in "proximate cause" (but for THIS, nothing else would have followed), so I always try to look for that.
Whenever it boils down to "if YOU hadn't done this, I wouldn't have felt the need to discuss it with you, so the proximate cause was YOUR action", it bugs me when people can't see it.
They usually see it as "What *I* did doesn't matter, YOU should have just tolerated it and gone on your way" which is pretty effing narcissistic
