A propos my poll: Tacos are winning but since I have had an inexplicable craving for wine all day I shall be going to the liquor store, where I intend to pick up a bottle of champagne that fits my annoyingly meager budget (and some kind of Shiraz or Pinot Noir or something,) and then pop in the grocery store for a tin of smoked oysters (they never have any other form, except for deep-fried ones in the freezer case, which is just as well because we are very far from oyster-harvesting country.)

I find Cook's Extra Dry to be QUITE drinkable, and very reasonably priced, usually 5-6 a bottle in my neck of the woods

Thank you! The bottle's in the fridge now, and after I eat some tacos and clear my palate, it shall be drunk. Out of a Turkish tea glass most likely, since I have no champagne glasses. (In Florida I drank Sovietskoye Shampanskoye straight from the bottle, but back then I kind of had a drinking problem.)
