Which of these books do I absolutely have to read?

"The House in the Sand", and "The Gun Seller".
Pablo Neruda and Hugh Laurie make a good combination.

Baudolino is one of Eco's best, steeped in obscure Medieval lore and with a kind of whimsy reminiscent of Italo Calvino.
The Occult Roots of Nazism is among the best books on the subject, but you'll be aware of that since it's a reread... You might also want to take a dekko at Joscelyn Godwin's Arktos: The Polar Myth in Science, Symbolism, and Nazi Survival, if you haven't already. Goofy cover notwithstanding, it's solidly academic.

Thank you for that reccomendation, that's a fascinating subject, to say the least.

You'll also want to watch what I'm sure will be a seminal film on the subject, "SS Doomtrooper" on the SciFi Channel Saturday night.
