I'm sick, I know it... Not only have I bought a 1941 M38 from the Izhevsh arsenal, and a 1946 M44 from the Izhevsk arsenal, but I bought a 1939 M 91/30 from the Tula arsenal last weekend.
NEXT month, I've got my eye on a 1954 Yugoslav SKS.
Well, you'll definitely be able to defend Mother Russia from the capitalist-imperialist marauders. Long live the Great Leader and Teacher, Comrade Josef Vissarionovich Stalin!
I know that there is a HUGE range of values for those, based on age, what the original rifles was, decoration, whether or not they're still functional, etc. For a purely decorative middle of the road? maybe $200.00 - $400.00
There are a few listed here http://www.gunsamerica.com/2101/2101-random-1.htm
Heh, since I wouldn't necessarily intend on using it that's a really reasonable price. The ones on the site you gave cost a bit more but I can see why. Incidentally, I notice that old Japanese matchlocks cost far less than I imagined they would, which sets me a new goal in life. This one is a work of art; I'm surprised the seller didn't research the mon to find out which family it was associated with, as there are guides for that available in English...
