No, you've hit the nail on the head, my friend. Freedom, civil rights in this case, is NOT as some people seem to think a "zero-sum" game where if someone has civil rights my civil rights are somehow diminished. PRIVILEGE is diminished by greater access to human and civil rights by all people, freedom is not. And yes, it's about simple respect, simple compassion towards the people we shared this planet with. It's too bad too few people understand that.
