Also, what does "We didn't move, the border did" mean, precisely? If you lived in an area that was annexed to the US - hence "the border moving"- however it was annexed, you became a citizen of the US. For example, anyone living in California in 1850 became a US citizen. No one was forced to move out or apply for citizenship.
Just because something sounds good doesn't mean you get to say it without criticism. THINK about what you're saying
