It's not that I don't care, it's that it's no big deal.
Believe me I understand the "making gay people more visible leads to greater acceptance" argument, but I think we're past that, when it comes to celebrities anyway.
Allies remain allies, and the homophobes aren't going to get their minds changed by ANYONE publicly announcing their orientation. At this point, it sort of seems like "look at ME!", rather than "I'm doing this to help my brothers and sisters".
I guess I'm saying it's 2012, and we have, as well we should have, gone beyond that.
