A Few Thoughts
May. 2nd, 2011 01:33 pm1) Osama bin Laden was the public face of al Quaeda
2) Al Quaeda, as a terrorist organization, had been largely ineffective for the last 5 years due to their inextricable involvement in Iraq
3) This involvement meant that aQ needed to use most, if not all, of their resources in Iraq
4) With the death of ObL, this committment could theoretically end
5) If the above is the case, aQ (probably under another name) will be able to regain tactical initiative, and be able to use their resources to strike at their enemies at times and places of their own choosing.
6) We are therefore back to the situation as it was on September 10th, 2001
7) FUCK ME!
