California Budget "Crisis"
Aug. 4th, 2008 06:05 pmIt's quite simple, when the dead-line for passing the budget rolls around, if it isn't passed, the doors of the legislature get locked. No-one is allowed to leave until it's done, AND not only do they not get paid, the legislators get docked $1000.00 A DAY until it's passed.
That would stop legislators from using the budget process as a political football regardless of the damage it does to the people of the state.
WE have the final say, not the know-nothing fat-cat legislators. It's time to remind them who works for whom.
