In which Mlknchz reviews yet another film
Mar. 7th, 2008 09:50 pmI am pretty sure I've seen everything Johnny Depp has been in (except maybe "Crybaby"), but my considered opinion is that his finest performance was in the little-seen film "The Libertine".
Gone were the mannerisms, the histrionics, the little flourishes that remind us we're watching "Johnny Depp ACTOR". What remained was a subtle and very affecting performance wherein he submerged himself completely in the role, where committment to the role becme paramount.
I heartily recommend this film to anyone who has not seen it.
