Can we please stop hearing about this NYT banking records story? It is nothing but a soap-box for each side to stand on and beat their chests. The NYT gets to portray itself as the "fearless defender of the peoples right to know" and the Administration gets to play their "pragmatic defenders against terrorism" card.
ENOUGH!
Of COURSE we're "following the money"; anyone who knows a thing about counter-intelligence or gives it a moments thought will arrive at that as a necessary tactic. We know it, the terrorists know it. The only people shocked by the story are, well, basically idiots.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to be TOO cynical about politics.
