my family will probably go zombie pretty fast, except for maybe my dad, who's an ex-marine.
the property itself is about 3 acres, 1.5 of which are piney woods (good for training). the rest can be turned into a vegetable garden. also, i work for a bottled water company, and i've got access to about 10,000 gallons of drinking water at our warehouse 3 miles away.
i live in mississippi, most of the people around here are practically zombies already.
also, in case of zombie attack on Chicago, we have access to a 400 acre farm (with massive metal-working/vehicle/wood-working shed) three-hours downstate
The zombie thing is becoming problematic for me. If I'm sober walking home at night among drunk college students, I see zombies. (As we learned from SOTD, drunks, crack-heads, and zombies are nearly identical!) Old people: also often walk like zombies.
Plus, my friend had a housesit in DC and I slept over. I admired the tall fence and ubiquitous bars and fancy security system from a zombie-survival standpoint before noticing I was in a bad neighborhood.
I hope I'm in a reasonably but not excessively bad neighborhood during the zombie apocalypse, at least until my survivalist friend rescues me and flies us to Oregon.
